Alien Zoo Replacements
by G. O. Clark
One by one
each member of the
family was replaced by a
robot doppelganger;
a six-foot tall father,
short black hair, brown glass eyes,
blue leisure suit;
a diminutive mother,
blond hair and blue eyes, black
cocktail dress and high heels;
a 5’9” teen son, dark hair,
Levis, white tee shirt, letter jacket
and white Nikes;
and a plump teen daughter,
blond hair, blue eyes, mother’s height,
red gym shorts and halter top;
robots one and all gathered
around their dining room table,
simulated human meal gathering dust,
zoo goers wanting the real thing.
