The End of Time
by Kenneth Vincent Walker
Approaching the speed
Of light Time itself ebbs
To a slow-motion crawl.
Weightlessly floating in
Curiosity adrift, G-forces,
Space-Time Continuum,
Feeling quite nauseous;
Time dilates, dissipates,
No thunderous applause
Unlike the sound barrier
Where sonic booms may
Rattle cavernous walls.
Now, the human mind it
May anticipate what type
Of future is to come. Yet,
Approaching the speed
Of light Time itself ebbs
To a slow-motion crawl.
Believing we have plenty
Of Time to spare we are
In shock and in awe as
Time and Spsce are both
Miraculously erased, in a
Mind-bogglingly conundrum.
Time dilates, dissipates,
No thunderous applause.
Time comes to an abrupt
Stop continuing no more.
