Confessions of a Ghost

by Amirah Al Wassif

I used to dream big,
Not the kind of dreams you learned in school and the university.
As a full-time funny ghost,
I used to love my job earnestly.
You may find me in the abandoned cirques, playing hide and seek with many other wandering spirits or you may see me playing video games with fresh corpses under the ground.
Believe me, technology is not just for living people.
I too have the same right to play.
Trust me, ghosts have a great sense of humor.
We shake each other hands. Wave when we were far away.
Use Google many times and guess what?
We make funny memes.
The only difference is that our world is free from lies and taxes.
