Indian Choker

by Juan Manuel Perez

irresponsibly:
walked in without a conscience
led by lustful dreams

abomination:
every footstep that you took
upon sacred ground

dissimulating:
in the cover of darkness
tearing into dirt

irrationally:
you reached far into the grave
moving things about

evocatively:
flashed your light for a second
such beautiful sight

optimistically:
feeling for the wide necklace
pulled it from his neck

imperiously:
tying it upon your neck
…squeezing your life out
