Celestial Sister
by Kenneth Vincent Walker
Akin to the Earth
In both size and
Mass and spins
In reverse unlike
Earth from east
To west; slowly,
Ever so slowly, at
A brisk walking
Pace that it takes
225 Earth days to
Make one revolution
In space; as she is
Turbulent, toxic, with
Gases which would
End the human race;
Yet beautiful and yes
Venus is her name.
