to 2001
or the original
Planet of the Apes.
When I watch
people interact
I feel like Taylor
in Planet of the Apes
watching the apes act
like the humans
from his world.
Movies like 2001
and Planet of the Apes
showed us
what people
were actually like—
2001 is optimistic
and Planet of the Apes cynical.
I myself
feel like
Taylor.
