Citlaltemini
(brother from the stars)

by Juan Manuel Perez

I have seen blue skies
a beautiful place beyond
much further than home

⚫⚫
I have seen blue skies
where the bronze people worship
such as those like me

⚫⚫⚫
I have seen blue skies
with large constructed temples
lush delightful trees

⚫⚫⚫⚫
I have seen blue skies
discontent with simple life
long to stay behind

I have seen blue skies
where soldiers can become gods
fulfill every lust

I have seen blue skies
a concocted plan for three
against directives

⚫⚫

I have seen blue skies
soon they'll find out, here we'll die
…face up to blue skies
