Pass On Planet B

by Kenneth Vincent Walker

Terraforming Mars;
The 'Red Planet,' the
Dead planet within
Close proximity to our

Waning sapphire blue
Sphere, which is less
Inhabitable than Death
Valley in reality I fear.

For the astronomical
Cost of erecting and
Supplying a biosphere
Seems an impossibility

For this disgraceful,
Wasteful human race
Which can't even agree
On the obviously clear.

Landing a man on Mars
Would stroke our fragile
Ego to some degree, but
Better yet save the Earth;

Take a pass on Planet B.
