On Top of the Moon
by Kenneth Vincent Walker
Standing on top of the
Moon, a panoramic view
Of the Pyramid of the Sun.
Beads of sweat adorn my
Head for what now ensues
Is the trek downward to the
Ground to where I'm from.
These monolithic structures
Of precision blocks hewn by
The ancients in accordance
With the stars. For Orion's
Belt hold a universal charm,
But is a long way from the
Ground to where I'm from.
