Welcome to Chernobyl

Such awesome power at
Our fingertips glowing
Brightly against a most
Ominous sky, billowing
Clouds plume of radiant
Specks of graphite core
Amid fears of the dying.

As the rain and the wind
Transport a certain death
To the unwitting, a world
Awakens to the horrifying
News how indiscriminately
Life may be taken from the
Innocent by the unyielding.

Falsely believing that we
Could control, contain an
Unimaginable force which
Could conceivably end all
Of Mankind. Lo our brains
Have uncovered secrets
Which should've remained

Hidden away for all time.
