Horrorku

by ayaz daryl nielsen

saxophone solo
sixteen fingers and a forked tongue
baritone and bass

flickering campfire…
in the surrounding darkness
something smacks it’s lips

snarling as it waits
just beyond the camp-fire’s light…
low on firewood

his locked casket
the old vampire
won't like that

the unfinished house
full of cats, plants and
half-eaten bodies
