abducted

surviving decades aboard ‘our’ starship,
my presence and tasks now a necessity
among this community of devout
space explorers… yes, there can be
boredom as we travel between far-
flung star systems, yet, it all blends into
virile, ever-astonishing adventures…
the galactic warriors I’m with may not be
‘human’, yet she, my beloved mate, is
first among my many blessings
(we’ve our first, second, third,
fourth-and-fifth born twins with us)
and! foremost, from within mutual
respect and our mutual devotion,
we all continue to embrace this
insatiable seeking, seeking
ever further, ever deeper into
understanding this far-flung,
ever-majestic, and always
beckoning great unknown…
