Unforgettable
by Elaine Chellberg
The lone
Empty tear
Racing down
Bruised cheek.
The vacant
Eyes staring
Into the black of
The closet.
Shaking hands
And trembling breath
Body quivering like
An earthquake.
Mind becoming numb
Like the marks
That shine through
Skin.
Somedays physical
Always mental
But mostly
Unforgettable.
