The Last Perfect Day
by Meg Smith
We will go to the bridge,
we two,
over Pawtucket Falls.
Green froth will roar,
nearly moon.
Together, we will recite
Shakespeare's Sonnet 130,
my favorite.
The sky contracts, fractures.
This is the last.
Dark lady, all.
