House And Acreage, Eccentrics Preferred

by Colin James

Cruel shaped window panes
abused the small cottage
like overwrought condolences
left by the previous tenant.
Swirling paisley stucco
as breathless as remarked.
Ugly lovers in mossy ditches
humping ever so semi-seriously.
Dead mice and birds,
half eaten hot peppers,
paths of running thirst.
Beyond an over mined sand pit,
children with absolutely abundant
ammunition fired into the air.
The witch having already cauterized
now hurriedly salted her pubic hair.
