Why People Believe
by Jean Jones
I have wondered why people believe in God
until I watched a fantasy movie with a happy ending
and then I realized:
Our imaginations inform us on what should be
even if it isn't:
Our expectations, dreams, and desires
tell us how
things ought to be
even when they aren't.
A make believe Narnia is better
than a real live world any day.
