Sweat
by Robin B. Lipinski
Planetary environments, exposed to space
Shrouded by methane or nitrogen or hydrogen or some form of gas
Heated by singularity or duality of Sun
or like a bastard son without a known father, has nothing but blackness; frozen, alone, abandoned.
A young human male alone in a cold movie theater with his 'date'
Rising temperature, flush red face as he tries for first base.
A Russian drunk swimming in a hole chopped through the ice in frozen lake
Laughs, as he frolics and drying off heads back to his alcoholic haze.
A woman’s personality so cold, so hostile, like a distant comet lost in far space
yet
her words, her actions cause heated pain.
Arctic expedition in the year 2029, Capt. Horton saw a star fall
at least that’s what his voice recording recovered recalled.
He trekked to discover what it was.
There is no video, no evidence left of the Capt. no, nothing but a small digital smashed voice machine.
"My God, they are aliens! They have landed in a craft shaped like an 'I'"
"They appear to be chasing each other naked and dare I say, laughing?
They appear to be playing a game."
"Oh my God, I think they’ve spotted…"
We can only speculate what happened.
Aliens were sighted and doing physical activity in a frozen environment.
They appeared to enjoy the snow and ice and had a direct part in the demise of the Capt.
I wonder if Capt. Horton felt the sweat of excitement just before getting vaporized
in some form of ungodly heat?
