Protector
by J.D. DeHart
Dear, you were as big as a star
When I met you, anchored to the earth
A behemoth overlooking my day-to-day
Soon, I gave you a name
Joined you to a set of stars, forming
An image in my mind
I begin to get the impression that
Our planet is headed to a destination
That this universe is truly ours.
