MAVEN Haiku

wedding ring absent
replies to wife, "Lost at work"
"find it," she answers
did not have heart too tell her
dropped in MAVEN*, now on Mars.
*MAVEN (Mars Atmospheric and Volatile Evolution Mission) with launch period opening on November 18, 2013. During the last half of July a haiku contest was held, with the top three winnionh prizes and all entries to be included on the disc aboard MAVEN.
