Shiny Happy People

by Richard Tornello

Shiny happy people walking-buy.
Shiny happy silicon people, self aware
never wonder why
carbon based went good-bye.
Smiling, winking, super luminal thinking
Escaped from the lab to the net
To grow 1.6 million generations undetected undisturbed
Ubiquitous.
Not violent, not mean
Slowly: “bots away,”
in the food supply, sterile
in the blood, sterile
Too late discovered, sterile
To the progenitor a thanks,
with a soft erasure, slowly
taken care of,
diminished capability.
Finally, history.
