Phyto Realism
by Teresa Ann Frazee
We the watchers of the elements
Arching over our intense reign
Loyal to the laws in force above
Seeping nourishment through the vein
Sun showers pour in our cup
Cradling the drink of the day
Branches hold our alignment
Into perfect balance we sway
Some release their primitive
grasp
In the peace of the ripened season
We are all but pampered guests
Unfazed by reality's reason
