Thumb in the Eye of the Gods
by Richard Tornello
Stepford homes built with plastic and glue,
blocky,
to the hoas they hue.
Erected in pleasant villages, on dozed parcels;
a forced study in Asthetics of Sterility.
The wind blows,
and against the plastic sheathing’s protective covers,
shakes, rattles, creaks.
A reminder of who wins in the end.
