But
I Do Feel Safe
by Richard Tornello
In the land of the free
and,
digitally monitored,
no keystroke left unknown.
On the roads of the free
and,
transponder monitored,
no vehicle left undetected.
In the homes of the brave
all safety wired,
no door open goes unrecorded.
I walk down the street.
My eye, the camera it meets.
In my pocket,
schreibmit …weapon concealed.
