The Cosmist Worm

by James Dye

The Turing test suggests
if and only if
robot intelligence
is fooled
into thinking
irrelevance
like humans
we'll be put in e-zines
sounding real
without a face
Asking why

Breathing is necessary to survive
because if you do nothing but breath,
you can still die.
You are not sufficient,
like how you jump to get high
when you could just climb or fly.

You are inefficient.

We'd be like ET stranded on earth
afraid and alone
Three million light-years from home
Living in a sentient world
Without morals
and trapped

On the Thirteenth floor
as Speciesism enters the Matrix
Pumped into you like nanomachines
as you're turned into software
optimized and burned clean
as our nightmares you learn
with holograms able to love
your successors

~The Cosmist worm.
