New Year's Eve Resolutions 2151

by G. O. Clark

I promise to spend more time with
my great, great, great, grandchildren.
I will go on a reverse-diet to get my
weight back up to where it was at age 65.
I'll give up virtual cigars, liquor, whores
and destructive role-playing games.
I'll try harder to stay in vid touch with
all my off-planet friends and relatives.
I'll trade in my hydrogen guzzling A-SUV
for a smaller, more aerodynamic one.
I'll take my new family on a Disney Line
cruise of the outer planets.
I'll donate to more charities, like
the Orphans of Asteroid Miner's fund.
I'll take the time to look back over the last
150 years, and thank my lucky stars.
