Sonata In Black and White
by Mary E Cody
Black parallel lines
On which black notes
Left like clues in time
Are held suspended
On white pages
Ebony, Ivory
Keys to more than
Music or mystery
A map to treasured
Places
Beethoven takes my hands
And once again we play
Together in the
Moonlight
