Nighteyes
by Daniel C Smith
The sky laughs at me
and the moon casts
its pale judgment
on my dark actions.
The stars- a million points
of scorn, stinging me
with rebuke as I run
towards the morning
and away from the urges
and the Eyes of the Night.
