Momma’s Turned into a Rolling Stone

by The Rev. Theresa Jackson

Momma's turned into a Rolling Stone!
Never been so free.... had the chance to roam.
Can I find a road I can travel fast?
Am I quick enough to outrun my past?

Momma's turned into a Rolling Stone...

Love's seen it's day, love's had it's chances.
I've felt the pain of sad romances.
The kids are gone.... don't need a home...
Momma's turned into a Rolling stone.

Momma's turned into a Rolling Stone...

Life was good but did not last.
What was up came down to crash.
I miss my kids but since they've grown,
Momma's turned into a Rolling Stone.

Momma's turned into a Rolling Stone...

Can't gather moss if I keep on moving.
No time for love, no way of losing.
Gave all I had, let it be known,
Momma's turned into a Rolling Stone.

Momma's turned into a Rolling Stone...

I wouldn't turn back the hands of time.
The past was lessons.... the future's mine.
Hindsight shows me what I should have known.
Now.... Momma's turned into a Rolling Stone.

Momma's turned into a Rolling Stone...

Theresa Jackson is a 50ish going on 29 year old lady trying desperately to figure out what to do with the rest of her life. She has lived in Sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida all her life. She has been married four times and will NEVER pull that stunt again! Due to several tragedies in her life she has a couple of unfinished book projects and a script about these Tragedies that need to be finished. A fire recently gutted her home and took  practically everything she owned and killed the beautiful talking Cockatoo she'd had since it was a Baby! She is heartbroken, homeless, and currently living with her youngest son, Chip. She only submitted these poems as a feeler to see if anyone liked what she had to say. Their acceptance brightened her day and her attitude. She just may go forward with her projects now, and has Aphelion to thank for that.
