Where Is My Scythe?
by Christopher T. Dabrowski
Translated from Polish by Julia Mraczny
That day, Death could not find her scythe for a long time.
"If I catch the one who forged my scythe, I'll kill him!" she threatened, but as soon as the initial anger faded, she said: "No, I take life all the time. In that case… I'll condemn the bastard to immortality!"
However, no potential thief recoiled and returned the scythe.
"Think! Where did you last see it?" Death suddenly froze as a startling thought caught up with her:
"Wait, I… something is wrong with me."
Suddenly, something rustled.
"I sharpened it," the zombie growled, handing back her scythe.
