A Gentler Way Out
by Christopher T. Dabrowski
Translated from Polish by Julia Mraczny
Microchips constantly monitored their health and mental state.
They got them in a compulsory vaccination.
When they argued yesterday, the chips didn't react, even though the level of nervousness of both was increasing by the minute.
The system wasn't interested in marital quarrels.
Today was different - they both became upset with how AI governed, and started to discuss a possible protest at one point…
The system immediately prompted the endocrine system to produce calming substances.
The couple quickly calmed down and instead of a protest, decided to go to the cinema, as long as they could afford to go out that way.
