I kill a Fly, I kill a Mosquito
by Christopher T. Dabrowski
Translated from Polish by Julia Mraczny
I kill a fly - it sits on everything and it buzzes annoyingly.
I kill a mosquito - you know, it's a damn bloodsucker.
I kill a spider - I'm scared of them, but that's not why.
Ants, worms and any other vermin - a known issue.
I also kill ladybirds and butterflies. I shoot birds with a slingshot.
I know what you may think of me now - that I am a monster.
And did you know that most of them are paparazzi-controlled bio-drones?
I'm not a monster - I just want privacy.
You don't know how hard it is to be a celebrity in 2050…
