Seemingly Nightmarish Circumstances
by Christopher T. Dabrowski
Translated from Polish by Julia Mraczny
I can't even blink an eyelid and it doesn't bother me. I'm pretty fine with it.
They call me a vegetable, but soon it will stop.
I can still run, play football, and have sex. I am rejuvenated and have plenty of energy.
It'll be like that until my body dies.
Dr Ming installed a copy of my brain on the android. I could use the copy anytime. And I used it.
"Remember that your copy is not you," he reminded. "When your body stops functioning, you will disconnect. The android will have your personality, but you will die, understand?"
