Birth

by Christopher T. Dabrowski

Translated from Polish by Julia Mraczny

It was a difficult pregnancy. Acute abdominal pains confirmed Marta's fears. She wondered, what will happen when everyone would know that her firstborn... doesn't resemble Matthew in any way. It'll become clear who the father was. He was a terrible man, and that's what was attractive about him…

He was ugly, which was also attractive…

And he was a serial killer…

Once she wanted to tell the truth, but she chickened out. Anyway, Matthew would probably not have believed her. Birth started. She felt terrible pain.

Five steel blades cut her belly. From the inside…

Freddie Kruger's son was born.
