Pest Problem
by Christopher T. Dabrowski
Translated from Polish by Julia Mraczny
They liked the planet offered by the Inter-Galactic Trade
Federation. It was a dream come true. It had plenty of natural
resources and was next to the main interdimensional route.
Unfortunately, the price was high.
They had to let it go. Or… they could genetically modify a species.
Then all they had to do was
jump into hyperspace and come back after a superluminal year.
It worked! A parasitic species contaminated the planet.
When the wanderers visited the Federation again, the price was
nominal. The buyers had to get rid of the human pestilence, but that
wouldn't be a problem.
