Like an Indian

by Christopher T. Dabrowski

Translated from Polish by Magda Woźniak

Przemek turned red in the face. Red like an Indian and even more! You could say that he was red like an Indian cubed.

From a face stained red a pair of white eyes stared. Terrified, disorganized, at every turn they fled into eye-sockets. One moment and he will faint. He definately overdid it. It hurt without skin, pricked, terribly. Flap, shreds of skin hung from his face. Blood meandered down his neck, torso… Flowed down his stomach, genitals, legs. It gathered at his feet in a scarlet bloodstain.

God, it hurt terribly! As if he'd been burned by fire!

Przemek wanted to be like his dad. He wanted to be a grown-up! But grown-ups shave.

Unfortunately, he tightened the razor too much.
