An Annoying Job
by Christopher T. Dabrowski
Translated from Polish by Julia Mraczny
The harvest has begun, there will be a lot of mowing. A lot. It all
leads to a record harvest. It would be great though, she didn't like
this tiring job. It's not a woman's job. But what can we do…
When she sharpened her blade, she scowled. The scythe. Why is it
always a scythe? The world has moved on! As if she couldn't do it with
some harvester. And those rags - frayed, scratchy material. Too cold in
winter, too hot in summer. Oh, God! It's hard to be Death! And even
more so during the Third World War.
