Amiss-y Tommy
by Christopher T. Dabrowski
Translated from Polish by Aleksandra Zelder
Was a boy of Tommy so that does and gets amiss everything and all.
Once in a severe winter, austere, dour, he built a snowman with his sister.
As usual Tommy threw his jacket onto the floor as soon as he got home.
"Tom, I cannot do this anymore. Hang it up right now!" screamed his mummy.
Inasmuch as Tommy’s mummy was a little flighty honey she forgot that…
Was a boy of Tommy so that does and gets amiss everything and all.
It occurred to him so - so that in stead of his jacket, it was his sister who got hanged.
Livid, pale, with her tongue sticking out of her mouth and a rope tightened around her neck.
If only she’d remembered, was a boy of Tommy so that does
and gets amiss everything and all…
