Leg Up

by Denny E. Marshall

The race is one mile. One of the shortest races, although is takes longer than most of the others. Cloey sits in the stands waiting for the athletes to cross the finish line. Other events in the Olympic type setting are occurring at the stadium and other areas. She watches the track and sees the runners are near. Her brother like last year has the lead. As it looks like he will win, he trips and falls still managing to come in second. Cloey never did understand why this race is run on the hands when they have six legs.
