On Particles of Stardust
    (Sweet Creativity)
    by Kenneth Vincent Walker

    It seemed to be an
    Endless journey, yet
    Looking back it was
    A mere ripple in time.
    A bottomless voyage
    Of possibilities; yet
    An eternity to finally
    Unravel and unwind.
    Roving over hills and
    Dales, crags and ruts,
    Over the whole cruel
    Mountainous terrain;
    Subconsciously shut
    In my mind to finally
    Find myself where I
    Have now ended up.
    The path was tedious,
    Arduous and long with
    Bouts of boredom and
    Mediocrity, loneliness,
    Also brilliance beneath
    Solar flares, raindrops,
    On particles of stardust
    Sent from the heavens
    Above, and now perched
    Precariously on my brow
    Seeping into my cranium
    Freeing me from delirium;
    Sweet creativity unbound.
