Two Moons of Mars
by Kenneth Vincent Walker
Phobos and Deimos,
Fear and Horror, the
Two moons of Mars
As seen by explorers.
Oblong, non-spherical,
Orbiting the Red Planet,
Mars, God of War, above
Remnants so abhorrent.
Once there was water;
Hence, there was life on
The desolate surface of
Monuments now hidden
In rubble, rock and dust.
A rusty red haze sets the
Atmosphere ablaze as
Barren malformed moons
Look down in anger upon
This disaster in disgust in
Memory of what once was.
