Forgotten

by Ron Bruno

I am the man she chose to forget
I am the photograph that is torn and discarded
Her memory is clear as yesterday
I am replaced by new photographs
Pictures of new memories started
I had the chance at that moment
But I took it for granted
And now I’m forgotten
I let her go because of pride
So alone I sit
And never again will she be by my side.
