Versailles & Washington Conference

Redux

by Richard Tornello

Natural resources and natural fears
Compounded threats.
Over the years build up to a tipping point.
Each has a right to live,
and to do so in health.
Denied that life, denied recognition.
Together denied.
Focus of contention from within, without.

Ownership by dint of conquest,
a usual source of legitimacy.
The need to consume as carnivores,
resentment continues and scapegoats required.
Flesh of the enemy cooked
not a matter of who or why.
Just done.

Don’t be surprised if disjointed
Far flung unify
At once,
and then,
not there.

The response for natural resources,
neutralizes.

What order now?
